 The
emblem below is a picture of the rank that I wear.
The diamond device in the top designates the First
Sergeant in a unit, and my job is to take care of the
unit. The first sergeant looks after the morale,
health, welfare, and discipline of the force and
their families when need be. They are always on call,
and they are an extension of the commanding officer.
The history of the first sergeant is as old as the
military itself. I have no doubts that this little
one will be looking out after my wife and I for years
to come.
